List of Kampala’s 50 Most Popular People

Kampala being the capital of Uganda means that it holds the most notable, popular people in the city. These include celebrities, leaders and noble men. Here are the 100 most popular people in Kampala and the list is as follows;

1. Kabaka Ronald Muwenda Mutebi, the Kabaka of Buganda. He was crowned on 31st July 1993 and he is the leader of the Buganda Kingdom, the largest kingdom in Uganda.
2. Bobi Wine real names Kyagulanyi Robert Ssentamu. A musician and politician, leader of the National Unity Party. He is the leading opposition leader and the most popular Member of Parliament representing the people of Kyadondo East Constituency.
3. H.E Yoweri Kaguta Museveni – The president of Uganda since 1986. He came to power on 26th January 1986 and has been leading the country for the past 35 years.

6. Idi Amin Died – Though he died at 78 years in 2003 Idi Amin is surprisingly one of the popular Ugandans. (1925-2003)Idi Amin Dada was the third President of Uganda, ruling from 1971 to 1979.
